The Cat’s Meow

When I first met Patti M. Walsh in my community writing group, I knew she was extraordinary. Not only is she the author of two Celtic-inspired young adult novels: Ghost Girl and Hounded, but she is also full of insight about the writing world, including self-promotion.

Patti has pounced on a clever idea for a blog on her website (pattimwalsh.com) - “What the Cats are Reading.” She is nailing the true meaning of a community of writers by creating book reviews of new publications written by her colleagues - all told from a cat’s perspective. It’s purrfectly meowvelous.

Molly recently had the pleasure of being introduced to the feline Siam. Initially, Molly felt a little trepidation. I mean, Siam is a CAT for goodness’ sake. Or is he?

“Molly and the Feline Siam” is a must-read. It’s quick and easy (it’s a blog, after all). It’s about Molly (we all love her). And it’s written by Patti (she’s the true cat’s meow).

Next time you feel like curling up in the sun for a happy nap because you can’t find something good to read, take a few minutes to enjoy Patti’s blog. You will discover both a playfulness and an intelligence that will lead you to some great new tales (or would that be tails?)
